Christmas Cake Pops

Ingredients
  • FOR FROSTING:
  • 2 sticks butter (room temp softened)
  • 1 cup Crisco shortening
  • 1 TBS clear vanilla extract
  • 1 2lb bag powdered sugar
  • 4-8 TBSP milk
  • FOR CAKE POPS:
  • 1 recipe frosting (above)
  • 1 packaged cake mix (bake according to pkg directions)
  • Candy Melts or Candiquik Melting Chocolate
  • Sprinkles for decorating
  • Lollipop sticks
Instructions
  1. FOR FROSTING:
  2. Begin by mixing (with electric mixer) butter until well creamed.
  3. Add shortening to butter and cream until fluffy.
  4. Add vanilla and mix well.
  5. Add in powdered sugar (turn your mixer to low speed) one cup at a time. Mix low and slow.
  6. Continue adding in all powdered sugar.
  7. Add milk 1 TBSP at a time until you reach desired consistency (I used about 6 TBSP).
