Pink Plaid & Blue Floral Tablescape

Renee — Mon, 15 Apr 2019 16:19:13 +0000

I love mixing patterns and textures, especially on my table! I fell in love with these pink plaid plates and immediately knew that I wanted to set them with blue floral. I love the softness of these shades of pink and blue together! I think the Pink Plaid & Blue Floral Tablescape would be beautiful as an Easter table, or anytime Spring or Summer! I wasn’t sure what type of centerpiece I wanted to use, so I decided to keep it very simple with some fresh flowers. Trader Joes rarely disappoints in the fresh floral department! For a casual table, I typically use these plain white pitchers or mason jars for vases and keep the arrangement simple and casual. I added a few chippy white bunnies for Easter!

In case you’re wondering about sources. The striped runners and white charger plates are from Pier1. Both the blue floral and pink plaid plates I picked up at Marshalls. Assorted white pitchers are Home Goods finds. The napkins are from Amazon.

I love doing a pull back shot of my dining room! I had my dining table custom made and the chairs are from Pier1. The antique hutch belonged to my mom and is a piece I’ll cherish forever.

Carrot and Bunny Easter Tablescape

Renee — Mon, 15 Apr 2019 15:00:11 +0000

When I think about a new tablescape, I always try to shop my home first and re-use items that I already have. You’ve probably noticed these table runners, green charges and black & white plaid plates keep showing up. Same with the white candle holders and the base of the garland. After I’ve taken a mental inventory of what I might re-use, I go browsing my go-to shops to see what sparks my interest. Pier 1 came through for me with the carrot napkins that were the inspiration for the table. Carrots, bunnys, and some greenery was all I needed set an inviting Easter table. I love the way my Carrot and Bunny Easter Tablescape came together!
Last summer I decorated a rehearsal dinner for my niece down at the beach. She wanted beachy, but not tropical or hawaiian. Hmmm…… I just realized I never blogged those tables. Anyways, the garland that you see on the table were used on her tables along with some fresh garland. In addition to the garland, I added pineapples, fresh florals, and lots of candles. Since I have a bin full of the garland, I decided to spruce it up with two long floral picks from Pier 1 and a handful of HomeGoods carrots. I love how it turned out and think it’s perfect for my Easter table.

Please don’t forget, if you love my tablescapes, I’d love for you to share them!

Pink Peeps Easter Table

Renee — Fri, 12 Apr 2019 03:38:59 +0000

I must confess, I still love Peeps! And, as soon as I saw these adorable place cards, I knew what I wanted my “kids” table to look like this year for Easter! You’ll notice I haven’t written names on the cards yet. I’m saving that job for my granddaughter Gigi. I’ll actually be packing up this tablescape and one more (for the adults), and taking it on the road to have Easter with my oldest daughter and her family. GigiBean is quite the little hostess and will love getting to set this up for Easter dinner. I love that I can share my love of hospitality with the littles in my family! GigiBean and I played around with a few different plates and napkins, but after a quick trip to HomeGoods and finding the perfect plates, I had to make a switch-a-roo. She didn’t mind and admitted to loving this a little bit more!! I just love how the plates incorporate all the colors of the place cards. I found these sweet Peep cards at a local boutique. The brand is Hester & Cook. Check them out, they have some fabulous table accessories.

I already had the white chargers, pink cabana striped tablecloth, and the green striped napkins. The Rae Dunn salad plates & cups and bunny pitcher were Home Goods finds and the pink bunny was from Marshalls. I picked up the large Peeps at Target. Below you’ll see the salad plates. They came in a set of four and each are a different pattern. I couldn’t resist!

I mean seriously, just look at that cute bunny!!

Happy Easter my friends! Here’s hopping you’ll enjoy an egg hunt with your little ones! And, as usual I’d love if you’d share my post on social media and Pin it onto your favorite Pinterest board.
